We are pleased to have Pocket Full of Tales teaching their popular Advanced Acting Workshops. These workshops guide children on a voyage of the imagination designed to help children explore acting, improvisation, script writing, singing, theatre games and Shakespeare. Creativity will blossom as children work to create shows where they are the stars!





Ages: 9-13
MONDAYS 5:40-7:10PM. 6 weeks.

Session 1: September 13 - October 18 
Session 2: November 1 - December 6
Session 3: January 3 - February 7      

Session 4: February 28 - April 4 
Session 5: April 25 - June 6 (NO class on 5/28)

SHOWS
Session 1: “Selecting A Ghost” A family moves into an old castle, only to find theirs is the only one on the block that ISN’T haunted. This is very upsetting to them, so they begin the interviews immediately. Finding the perfect ghost could take a while, but they are willing to audition as many ghosts as they need to, to find the perfect one.
Session 2: “Beauty is a Beast” Beauty might be beautiful on the outside, but she's ugly on the inside. See what happens when her fairy godmother turns her inside out. Everyone in town gets a big surprise about their new little neighbor.
Session 3: “The Apple” While working in a wing of an art museum, a janitor accidentally leaves an apple behind on an empty pedestal. Nutty patrons come along and think it was meant to be a piece of art. Crazy perceptions and hijinks proceed to happen, culminating in acts of censorship and protest against the apple.
Session 4: “Nobody Famous” A fortune teller turns everyone’s lives upside down in this ridiculous comedy about an actress on the verge of being famous, who has all her dreams come true and inspires her friends to ask for their biggest wishes too.
Session 5: “It’s Tough Being the Prince” What happened after Princess Beauty, a young woman with modern ideas, woke up?  A delightful and humorous story of what the Prince must endure to win the hand of the Princess, when she doesn’t believe their ever was a sleeping spell on her castle. Just a hint it includes swashbuckling, melting thorns, and dealing with a retired dragon.
