Music Theory/Musicianship class (Ages 16 - Adult)

This 45 minute class will introduce students to the basics of music theory, composition, and ear training skills in a fun and relaxed environment. Students who all ready play an instrument (such as piano, guitar, voice ect..) will benefit greatly from learning the theoretical concepts behind music, ultimately leading to increased musicality.


Topics to be addressed will include:

*   Notational skills
*   Key signatures
*   Major and minor scales
*   Chord spelling
*   Basic diatonic harmony and voice leading
*   Musical analysis
*   Sight singing
*   Rhythm
*   Composition techniques

Maximum class size: 6 students  
Wednesdays           7PM   ages 16 - adult
